Ingredients: 1 lb (454 g) 90% lean ground beef; 1 cup (60 g approx.) dried breadcrumbs; 1/2 cup (75 g) diced yellow onion; 1/2 cup (120 mL) milk; 1 large egg, beaten; 2 tbsp (30 mL) ketchup; 1 tbsp (15 mL) Worcestershire sauce; 1 tsp (5 mL) dried parsley; 3/4 tsp (3.75 mL) salt; 1/2 tsp (2.5 mL) garlic powder; 1/4 tsp (1.25 mL) black pepper; Topping: 1/4 cup (60 mL) ketchup, 2 tbsp (25 g) packed light brown sugar, 1 tbsp (15 mL) red wine vinegar

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C).
Combine beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, egg, 2 tbsp ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, salt, garlic powder, and pepper until well mixed.
Press into an even layer in a loaf pan.
Mix 1/4 cup ketchup, brown sugar, and vinegar; spread evenly over the meatloaf.
Bake uncovered for 55 minutes.
Rest 8-10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Can be assembled ahead and refrigerated. It may also be frozen before baking; thaw in the refrigerator for about 24 hours.
